Message Notes: Scan your life conditions in this season. In what situations do you need fresh doses of hope? This Week’s Memory Verse: “Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 One day this week, read: Isaiah 7:14, John 10:10, 1 John 3:8, 1 Peter 5:8. Another day this week, read: 1 Corinthians 11:26, Revelation 19 And on a 3rd day, read: Revelation 22:20-21, Hebrews 2:14-17, Hebrews 9:26-28. With each day’s reading, ask and answer: · What do I see in these biblical lines that brings me awe, wonder, holy WoW for the season? · What do I see that causes me to wonder, to ask a deeper question, or ponder a deeper truth? · How do I sense more of God’s hope because of these wondrous words? Serve Opportunity: Christmas can be a wonder-filled time of giving and receiving for many. But for many others it’s still a season of real difficulty and challenge, of wants and unmet needs. How can you help your local community this Christmas season? Consider how you might partner in giving to Manor’s special Christmas Eve offering for ALIGN Life ministries OR some other very special endeavor. Prayer Pattern: Breathe in, and as you do say to yourself silently “My hope . . .” Then as you breathe out say to yourself, “. . . is in you, Lord.” Do this several times each morning, throughout the day, and then again in the evening.
